Workshops

• Percutaneous closure – Designed to provide an overview of percutaneous closure devices for both small and large hold closure. The course will include initial presentations followed by hands-on opportunities with the most popular devices currently in use.
• Vascular Anastomosis: How to do an ultra-distal bypass – Hands-on course for surgeons from junior to senior level discussing, demonstrating and practising distal bypass surgical methods.
• Vessel preparation – A session on vessel preparation for PAD focusing on tools including specialty catheters, atherectomy and IVL.
• Mastering major and minor amputations – This hands-on workshop provides a comprehensive overview of major and minor amputation procedures, designed for vascular surgeons and healthcare professionals involved in limb-saving and amputation procedures. Delegates will have a bone model of the whole lower limb where they will mark where to make bone cuts for minor and major amputations. Bone cuts will then be made using a saw. We will also show how to drill a bone and insert antibiotics to treat osteomyelitis. The session covers key aspects of surgical decision-making, operative techniques and strategies for optimising patient outcomes including foot biomechanics.
• Wound care: Basic and advanced skin care techniques – A practical workshop covering fundamental and advanced approaches to skin and wound care, including wound assessment, skin protection, dressing selection and strategies to support healing and prevent complications.

Workshops

• Real-life ultrasound – This course is designed to teach the best practices in assessing both clinical and radiological maturity of a sAVF and pAVF. The session is for doctors and nurses who are eager to learn about clinical and radiological assessment of an arteriovenous fistula both sAVF and pAVF used for haemodialysis.
• Complex access maintenance – This workshop will combine case discussions and hands-on simulator demonstrations about the maintenance of the vascular access circuit. From treatment of stenotic haemodialysis access lesions through to central venous obstruction, the aim will be to present attendees with an overview of strategies aimed at using the available technologies and devices in the most effective way.
• Thrombectomy – This workshop will explore the key thrombectomy techniques. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the indications for each approach, the tools and technologies available and hands-on experience in managing thrombosis in various vascular territories.
• Endovascular access creation: Techniques & indications – This workshop will provide participants with a detailed review of endovascular techniques, highlighting the benefits, limitations and appropriate indications of each technique. This includes how each approach affects patient outcomes, recovery time and long-term access patency.

• BEVAR/FEVAR Physician Modified Procedures – Designed to teach the fundamentals of creating and implanting a physician modified FEVAR and BEVAR on your own. In addition to the indication and assessment of which type, and number of modifications are necessary, the technique of measuring a CT angiography will be demonstrated and practised on practical examples.
• Aortic/Arterial Embolisation – Practical experience in arterial and aortic embolisation, covering technologies such as plugs, coils, false lumen treatment and liquid embolics.

• Thermal ablation – Hands-on course for those interested in improving their thermal and non-thermal ablation skills and patient satisfaction. Basic ultrasound skills necessary. Basic diagnostics for ultrasound needed for thermal ablation course.
• Thoracic outlet – Case-based discussion focused on the assessment and management of thoracic outlet syndrome.
• Pulmonary embolism – Focus on the identification and management of pulmonary embolism (PE). Participants will review current treatment guidelines through case-based discussions and hands-on demonstration to implement effective management in real-world clinical settings.
