Professor Martin Andrassy (Bruchsal, Germany) advocates that Jetstream Atherectomy can be used in all types of lesions effectively and safely. Andrassy notes that embolism occurs more often in in-stent restenosis (ISR) than in long de novo lesions, but the rare complications can be dealt with “quite easily”. He stresses that debulking is paramount for lesion preparation.
