“There has never been a more exciting expectation of what we have for this year in the aortic area at CX,” says Roger Greenhalgh, chairman of the CX Programme Organising Board. Results from the Individual Patient Data meta-analysis of the four randomised controlled trials on endovascular aneurysm repair against open repair (EVAR 1, DREAM, OVER and ACE) as well as the 15-year follow-up of the EVAR trials will be presented for the first time at CX 2016. In this video, Greenhalgh also speaks about the challenges in the thoracic aortic field, emphasising that questions surrounding false lumen embolisation in acute and chronic type B dissection will take centre stage.
